What is the
Montessori Method?
The Montessori Method was developed by Maria Montessori, the first Italian woman to earn a medical degree. Montessori believed the first six years of a child’s life while still learning and absorbing information unconsciously are the most vital in terms of their development. She placed emphasis on the value of environmental experience in education as well as the development of the ‘whole child’.
